The Project Management experience in PSNext goes far beyond Gantt charts. Any associated documents, raised issues or discussion forums can be managed in a dedicated component. Users will find entire project related information in one place.

Documents can be checked-in and out to keep track of their history. Users can create an unlimited number of Document fields that will describe the document’s properties. Fields can be displayed in a user-friendly form and are completed by users with the necessary permissions. When linked to a workflow, access permissions are closely linked to the document's status.

FORUMS

Forums

PSNext provides the ability to create as many forums as needed. A discussion thread can include text as well as file attachments. Permissions control the functions available to a user when working within the forums (reading, posting, forum creating, or moderating).

ISSUES MANAGEMENT

Issues

Any raised issue that needs to be resolved can be linked to a project or task. A due date and a person responsible list ensure that the issue is followed up and resolved. Users can easily consult the related issues of a project from Reports, the Planner or through their personal My Work component.

CUSTOM WORKFLOWS

Workflows

User defined workflows might describe the multiple “states” that a Document or Issue might be in, and the actions that link those states together. Permission definitions as well as the forms to be displayed for field value entries can be defined for each state. Users can set an approval rule determining how many responsible persons are required for the state to effectively change. Email alerts might be triggered on each state change.
